WebRed Mountain City was located near the Congress Mine south of and about 3/4 mile east of Red Mountain Pass. Immediately, there was confusion between the two Red Mountain settlements, which was exacerbated by the way that newspaper stories referred to both towns simply as “Red Mountain,” leaving off the “Town” or “City.” WebRed Mountain is a beautiful mountain in the River Mountains which rise straight above Boulder City. While the peak is beautiful and colorful when viewed from its base, the summit area is somewhat tarnished by the fact that there’s a radio tower on the west summit and a zipline platform and cables near the east summit.
