They are commonly reported in the lumbosacral region, and very rarely found in the thoracic spine [ 2, 3, 4, 5 ]. WebJul 27, 2011 · These cysts are causing blatant compression of adjacent sacral nerve roots. Also causing significant expansion of the sacrospinal canal as a result of sacral bone erosion/thinning. Films also indicate degenerative changes at L3-L4, L4-L5 and L5-S1 with multiple perineural cysts essentially in all levels of the thoracic as well as lumbar spine.
