Still, I guess there is the possibility of finding an E-Keyed M.2 SATA adapter that will allow you to connect SATA SSD/SSHD/HDD drives - and perhaps even use RAID 0/1 across them... Your slot is B keyed, which in practice means you need a SATA M.2 SSD. In principle a B key slot could support PCIe x2, but even if it does, it doesn't really help you because most PCIe M.2 SSDs are M keyed.
