WebIf it's a FWD it needs the tow dolly, if it's awd it can't be towed with any wheels on the ground. According to the owners manual there isn't any provision for this. WebIIRC, the niro will stop charging the 12v when the big battery gets really low. This is common on the LEAF as well. If grandpa has been sitting in the car with dash and cabin lights on etc, the 12v probably needs a jump as well. My LEAF won't charge the big battery with a partially dead (wouldn't drive, but would turn dash on) 12v battery.
